I Know Me

I know that If you invite me to an event and it falls on a weekday, i'm not going. I know that if you call me with an opportunity and it involves somebody that rubs my spirit wrong, I'm not doing it. I know that if Free People has a 25 percent off sale, I'm adding whatever it is to my basket. I know that the eggplant emoji, "the eyeballs", a plethora of heart eyes and the peach emoji strategically commented under pictures repulses me because..I'm a lady. I know that a bag of hot fries and white cheddar popcorn mixed together in a big bowl is too much YUM to actually talk about. I know that if I had the opportunity to move to New York and rent out Carrie's actual apartment, many of you would never see me again. I know that I love God with my entire heart and not just because He first loved me, It's because He saved me (and ya'll). I know that come December, I'll probably shave my head in the name of going natural (again). I know that Brandy is my absolute favorite artist because she was the first brown girl on TV that was relatable to me..PLUS, girlfran can saaang. I know that my teeth are HUGE but I get compliments on my gap 3-5 times a week. I know that some people think i'm too much and Lord knows, they couldn't be more right! I know that my advice generally comes off harsh because i'm wildly animated but the core of the message is always meant to heal and not hurt. I know that the day I got saved, Satan got maaaad! Lol! I know that he's even more mad because some of my old partners in crime are on their way the Jesus feet FULL-TIME! It's lit! I know that when i'm around other Africans, I immediately turn into my dad. Yesssoo!! I know that I have a problem saying no sometimes so I appreciate my friends that understand that when I start blinking several times in a row, I'm trying to say no. I know that i'm a bad driver. I know that clusters of stuff makes my skin crawl. I know that i'm an awesome friend, sister, auntie, daughter and granddaughter. I know that writing in general is not something that everyone can do, so every morning when I wake up, I thank God for this gift. I know that I get freaked out when people come up to me and tell me that i'm going to do great things and touch lives because I'm always like, ME?? that's a heavy load but I wont be doing it alone, okkkkurt!
