What Is Marriage Material?

I once had a producer tell me that my sister looked like wife material but that I looked like I was a freak. I had never been so offended in my life. Half of me wanted him to explain himself but the other half of me wanted to destroy all of his drum samples and say "until you do right by me, none of your songs will ever be placed."At the time I didn't allow him to elaborate but I kinda wish I did. I mean, I was dressed nice, my hair was laid and my legs were crossed so, how did he come to the conclusion that I was the "if you're looking for a good time" call girl?? So fellas, I have a question, do you all look at women and think "wooow, she's not a wife?" I mean, I believe that a man can date a woman and determine that she's not wife material by way of how she deals with her finances, carries herself or handles conflict but I wonder if a man looks at a woman and determines if she's a wife or not simply by how she looks. I also wonder if men actually date with the intention to marry or if it's something that is an afterthought. For women, I think 90 percent of us desire to be married but as we get older and more confident in our singleness we become hell bent on not marrying the wrong one. For me, I have been single since birth. lol. If someone says we dated, they are a damn LIE!! I kid.. Sure. I've been in relationships and I've even had men tell me that I am wife material but a part of me wants to know exactly what goes through a man's mind when he considers marriage. Is it the desire to have a helpmate? How do men even know that they are ready for marriage? I never really ask men questions like this because my assumption is that they don't necessarily think about it. I would hate to assume my way out of answers so fellas?? spill.. What do you consider to be wife material and how do you know that you are ready for marriage??
