Let’s be real. The internet is a bigger liar than a disgruntled employee with several hours of sick time left at the end of the year *coughs* *sneezes* *suddenly becomes feverish* . The internet is not only a liar but it gives people more wings than Red Bull and sometimes I get torn between loving the internet and sending it a cease and desist letter. Although the internet can be a pain, online shopping is the Tinder, Bumble and Match.com for all women who enjoy a good Retail Me Not coupon. Only a woman on the go can understand the euphoria that happens when you’ve had a long day, you click into Instagram, you see a Chanel inspired dress for 40 dollars, You think about it... “naaah it’s going to look cheap” but then you think back to the one time that you ordered a swimsuit from Shein and it was of decent quality for ONLY 12 bucks so you do the unthinkable...You add it to your basket, put in your credit card info and run to your door every day for two weeks only to find a lonely welcome mat with no cardboard box waiting to put you out of your misery! You then email that same boutique vigorously, you threaten to report them to the better business bureau and then, AND ONLY THEN do they finally send you a long Hanes her way t-shirt with a silly little clown belt for you to cinch your waist with. This may not be your exact story but in some way or another we have all been duped by the dreaded internet boutique. From eBay to Asos to Etsy to Wish and even America’s sweetheart, Miss Fashion (HELL) NOva, they all have had their little white lie moment that ends up in the back of your closet as a reminder that you wasted 40-80 dollars plus shipping and handling all because you scrolled too far down Instagram and your wallet was at too close of a proximity for you to make the right decision . My real concern is how these companies actually get away with catfishing so hard. I mean, if I ordered the Beyonce dress don't you dare send me the Blu Cantrell special!!! There is an ocean wide distance between "Crazy In Love" and "Hit em up Style" Don't play me!!! In all honesty, you get what you pay for. I realize that nothing good is cheap and nothing great is easy. I am just a smidge jealous that I didn't start a website years ago selling my opinion in a cute little box that smells like a dutch oven. I wonder how many ladies would have added it to their basket just because they too, are a woman on the go! I am curious to see how many of my readers have purchased something online that looked totally different when you received it! Please share your stories and send pictures I gotta see this!!
